Nigerian Content Policy

Policy statement

We give first consideration to Nigerian goods, services, manufacturers and personnel in everything we do, in line with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act 2010, the guidelines of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), the Federal Government’s Nigeria First policy and our clients’ local content requirements.

Our commitments

• Give first consideration to goods manufactured and services provided in Nigeria, and offer Nigerian-made options first in every quotation where they meet the specification.
• Source items designated for in-country manufacture, such as PPE, cables, panels, valves, bolts and nuts, cable trays and pumps, from Nigerian manufacturers.
• Employ and develop Nigerian nationals at all levels of our business, with fair access to employment for qualified candidates from our host communities.
• Invest in training and human capacity development, including skills and knowledge transfer from our OEM and technical partners.
• Use Nigerian banks, insurers, logistics providers and professional service firms for our operations.
• Prepare and implement Nigerian Content Plans for projects where clients or regulators require them, and report on our Nigerian content performance.
• Require our subcontractors and suppliers to support these commitments.

Imports

Where no suitable Nigerian equivalent exists, we import transparently, document the justification for our client, and comply with all applicable import and standards requirements.
