Policy statement
Sumax Communication Limited prohibits the use, possession, distribution or sale of illegal drugs and the misuse of alcohol or prescription drugs while at work, on company premises, in company vehicles or at client sites.
Our rules
- No employee or contractor may report for or carry out work while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- No alcohol or illegal drugs may be brought onto company premises, client sites or into company vehicles.
- Anyone taking prescribed or over-the-counter medication that may affect their ability to work safely must inform their supervisor before starting work.
- Drivers must never drive company or client vehicles after consuming alcohol or drugs.
- We comply with client drug and alcohol testing requirements where our people work on their sites.
Support and enforcement
Employees who seek help for a dependency problem before it affects their work will be treated in confidence and supported. Breaches of this policy will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
This policy applies to all Sumax Communication Limited directors, employees, contractors and suppliers acting on our behalf. Management provides the resources needed to implement it, communicates it to everyone it covers, and reviews it periodically to keep it effective. Questions may be directed to info@sumax.com.ng.
